D32A Demo

The 32 acre demo plot depicted above is designed to help ensure the land on which it is situated is cared for, while providing the people who live in it a comfortable experience, where they may live, work and relax. It is the first step in moving from paper to property. Once the design has been carefully vetted, it will be possible to move to the next phase, which includes a more complete selection of trades and professions.

In light of increasing pressure on the environment, it is reasonable to look for a variety of options. This design provides one such option. Each lot is approximately two acres in size, with a neutral buffer between it and the next lot. The commons area provides a space for children to safely play. And at the end of the week it can also be used for family gatherings and a place to enjoy each other's company.

The additional buildings on each lot provide room for a separate office and a workshop, in which desk and hands-on work may be conducted, but steps away from the main living area, to provide for a degree of separation. This arrangement has been proven to work over a period of forty years in which the author grew up on the family farm.

Much more material is available. However, the intent is to make it available by providing a sort of a "corn maze" effect, by posing questions that must be answered in order to proceed. In this way, the viewer will be able to progress through the various levels; demonstrating their knowledge of, and competence in that area, before being allowed to proceed. It is hoped that this method will reduce the need for registration and a password, while helping to ensure that the content presented is in fact read, digested and understood.
